The Pan African & Caribbean Sexual Health (PACSH) Project is one of the providers of community sexual health promotion services for African and Caribbean people living in Enfield and Haringey. Our aim is to ensure that local African and Caribbean communities are well informed about the risks of HIV and Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs), knowledgeable about safer sex and equipped to discuss sexual health issues openly, without fear of stigma and discrimination.
Sexual Health is a state of physical, emotional, mental and social wellbeing, related to sexuality; not merely the absence of disease, dysfunction or infirmity. Sexual health requires a positive and respectful approach to sexuality and sexual relationships, as well as the possibility of having pleasurable and safe sexual experiences, free of coercion, discrimination and violence. For sexual health to be attained and maintained, the sexual rights of all persons must be respected, protected and fulfilled. (World Health Organisation)
The PACSH Project is managed by the Embrace UK Community Support Centre (www.embraceuk.org), a registered charity No 1087526 and registered company
No 4215772.
