PACSH Project Services

Sexual health and HIV prevention work touches on some of the most personal and intimate parts of our lives. Many people feel too embarrassed to ask for information or to access sexual health services. The PACSH project Team have the capacity to work in women or men only settings; with families; with Christian and Muslim groups; with African and Caribbean men who have sex with men; young people and with people living with HIV infection including discordant couples where only one partner is living with HIV.

These services include:

Distribution of free condoms to make easy access including condom demonstration to reduce failure due to inappropriate use is the main objective. This is carried out at our current more than 200 community venues located at areas where African and Caribbean people live, shop, socialise and study. Distribution of information resources along with the condom distribution is also part and parcel.• Skills building workshopswith members of the community and community HIV champions such as churches, mosques and small groups to increase awareness of HIV and challenge HIV related stigma and discrimination
HIV Test Promotion: through encouraging, engaging and interacting ways to reduce the number of African and Caribbean undiagnosed people.
The T2K Home Visit with families, relatives and friends in small group or/and one to one discussions to help people understand how HIV could affect them and their sexual partners and the options that are available to them including HIV test.
